Bankruptcy in illinois?
I am 21 year old female i am in debt! when I was 18 i had a decent job and got credit cards and a car…i have had a really hard time finding a job since i am a full time student and have been unable to pay the bills the car payment is 400 and all the credit cards are probably 5000 by now the car just got reposessed and i dont know what to do i will graduate in july and then will be able to find a decent job but i am unemployed and have no one to help me with these debts i dont know what to do i have not one dime to my name and am lucky i have somewhere to live but i live with my grama who can barely afford her own bills i dont know what to do some one please help!! Please dont tell me to get a job its not that i am lazy all i have done for 6 months is fill out application after application i have not had alot of experience and most thigs that i might qualify for wont hire me because of my school schedule
In your case, I would just wait until you get a job so that you can make payments on your credit cards. hopefully you have learned not to live beyond your means. even while working full time I would never buy a car with 400 a month payments unless I was make over $50K a year. since your credit is already destroyed there is no harm in doing a bankruptcy just make sure that you include the repossessed car so that the bank can't charge you for the extra that you will owe on it.
